My video project on our 2025 Japan Winter Safari is now complete. In addition to the real-time posts, I’ve created video highlights—from snow monkeys in Jigokudani to Steller’s sea eagles soaring over Hokkaido—our 2025 Japanese Winter Safari was unforgettable. A playlist featuring all the episodes is available on my YouTube channel.
The playlist features short videos from our 2025 Japanese Winter Adventure. Episode 0—Japanese Snow Monkeys: Jigokudani Yaen-koen—is a prelude revisiting our first visit to the park in 2013. The 2025 journey begins in Sapporo with the Winter Festival, then heads through Hokkaido to photograph Tancho cranes, Whooper swans, and sea eagles. On Honshu, we return to the Yudanaka Snow Monkey Park, visit Hino for Mandarin ducks, and end in Osaka.
Each episode is a short, immersive look into the rare wildlife and breathtaking landscapes of Japan in winter.
