We are now at sea heading for the Drake Passage…we met our group, for the first time, at the airport as they were arriving from Santiago…from there we were bussed to Lapataia Bay where the Panamerican road ends…the road is 17,000 km long and goes from Alaska to Ushuaia at the bottom of Argentina…at Lapataia Bay, we embarked on a catamaran and made our way to the port of Ushuaia where we embark on the National Geographic Resolution…we sailed immediately after the mandatory fire drill.
Nous sommes maintenant en mer en direction du Passage de Drake…nous avons rencontré notre groupe pour la première fois ce matin à l’aéroport alors qu’ils arrivaient de Santiago…de là, nous avons été conduits en bus à la baie de Lapataia où se termine la route panaméricaine…la route fait 17 000 km de long et va de l’Alaska jusqu’à Ushuaia au sud de l’Argentine…à la baie de Lapataia, nous sommes embarqués sur un catamaran et nous nous sommes dirigés vers le port d’Ushuaia où nous avons embarqué sur le National Geographic Resolution…nous avons navigué immédiatement après l’exercice d’incendie obligatoire.

Vous avez eu droit à tout un accueil de la faune antarctique, chanceux. Même Phil, le phoque qui marche sur son rocher, a pris le temps de te saluer d’un air très cool en semblant te dire “hey, Bro”, comme un petit gangster. Bonne continuation.
Jusqu’à maintenant tout va bien, mais nous sommes en fin de saison et il y a beaucoup moins de pingouins…
