Le nid d’aigles de Rausu – Day 14 – The Eagle Nest of Rausu

Today, my blog post will be short, as I will let the photos do the talking…we started the day with a boat cruise to go eagle spotting…this cruise was targeted at photographers…let just say there was a lot of expensive gear on the boat…I wasn’t expecting what I witnessed…hundreds of eagles, Steller’s sea eagles and White-tailed eagles diving towards the surface to pick up fish that was being thrown overboard by the cruise staff…the number of eagles was mind-boggling…in the afternoon we took another cruise on the same ship but this one was a bit different, as it was targeted at the bus tour clientele…this time, we went looking for orcas and found some, then the ceremonial bird feeding just before the end…enjoy the slideshow.

Aujourd’hui, mon billet de blogue sera court, car je laisserai les photos parler…nous avons commencé la journée avec une croisière en bateau pour aller repérer les aigles…cette croisière était destinée aux photographes…disons simplement qu’il y avait beaucoup d’équipement dispendieux sur le bateau…je ne m’attendais pas à ce dont j’ai été témoin…des centaines d’aigles, des pygargues de Steller et des pygargues à queue blanche plongeant vers la surface pour ramasser des poissons qui étaient jetés par-dessus bord par le personnel de croisière…le nombre d’aigles était époustouflant…en après-midi, nous avons pris une autre croisière sur le même bateau, mais celle-ci était un peu différente, car elle était destinée aux groupes de touristes en autocar…cette fois, nous sommes allés chercher pour des orques et nous en avons trouvés…puis la cérémonie de l’alimentation des oiseaux juste avant la fin…j’espère que vous apprécierez le diaporama.
